A puppet competition like you’ve never seen before! During the snowiest time of year…a wild and crazy group of the best and brightest puppeteers in Detroit spend the four weeks making a completely original 10-minute show each incorporating a different theme and the same three physical items.  Featuring a fabulous emcee, and a panel of celebrity judges will decide who will be the top puppeteer.  A night of creativity, collaboration and clobbering!

Coming in 2026- Essential Info

• Building Process: Starts on January 9th  and goes until February 19th.
• Stipend: Each team/solo puppeteer will receive a $100 Stipend to build their show.
• Tech/Dress: Each team schedules a 20 min Tech Time February 16th-19th, Each team gets a 30min Dress Rehearsal to run their show & setup/teardown on Friday, February 20th.
• Performances: All perform in PRELIMS on Saturday February 21st at either 5:30pm OR 8:30pm,FINALS performance(Final 4 Teams) on Sunday, February 22nd.
• We are open for anyone who would like to help behind the scenes as well.
